For the month of July, we are  offering our guests a way to contribute to Alzheimer’s Association to help them further their hard work in research, prevention and care in the struggle against this horrible disease.

Like so many today the Williamson family has experienced the difficulty of caring for a loved one diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Our family feels strongly about helping those with this horrendous disease and their families. Help us help Alzheimer’s Association in their mission to eliminate Alzheimer’s disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health. Receive an additional wine sample with a donation of $1 or more. 100% of your donation goes to Alzheimer’s Association.

2014 Cabernet Sauvignon!

This Cabernet has a deep burgundy color and complex flavors of ripe fruit and oak that should age very well. Flavors of ripe cherries and amaretto are held together with a thread of creamy vanilla. Intoxicating aromas of baked cherries and toasted oak make this wine entirely too easy to enjoy.

We recommend serving this with pepper-grilled steak, garlic & rosemary roasted potatoes, braised pork shank, or wild game. For dessert, dark chocolate or bleu cheese complement this wine.

These vintages are quickly coming to an end. Be sure to come out to the tasting room and grab a bottle of your favorite wine before they are all gone.

Savor Idaho was a great success, it seems to sell out earlier every year. We always have fun and enjoyed our experience this year too. We were pouring our Harvest Moon Red, Dry Riesling and Dry Rosé. The Boise Weekly was there and they loved our Harvest Moon Red! Click the link for their full article.

Territory Magazine wrote a terrific and in-depth article about the beginnings of the Sunnyslope Wine Trail and all the recent growth. This article features Beverly Williamson, who serves as the Trail’s president, and she comments on community bond among the trail wineries as well as comments on grape varietals that shine on the slope. The Idaho Press Tribune has been continuing to cover the effects of the harsh winter of 2016-2017. Check out this article, featuring our very own Mike Williamson, talking about the recovery in our region from the harsh 2016-2017 winter. We’re happy to report that things are looking good after a regrowth year last summer! Click for the full article.
