2016 Malbec

We planted our block of Malbec vines in 2014. Our first vintage, harvested from vines at two years of age, is an epic wine. This full-bodied red wine has a beautiful deep ruby color that is surpassed only by the intoxicating aromas of Marionberry and leather. Bright flavors of dark cherry and plum evolve to berry bramble on the mid-palate and finishes with balanced tannins of earth and smoke. We’re pleased to present this unique wine at $25.00 a bottle. Available now in the tasting room!

It’s time to stock up on your favorite fall wine. The Harvest Moon Red has deep spice and dark fruit, making it the perfect wine for an end of season cook out or enjoying an evening with your friends in front of the firepit.
For the month of September we  are offering a 4-pack of our Harvest Moon Red for the tempting price of $60.00.

Williamson Vineyard wines are now available in north Idaho!

The Fred Meyer in Coeur d’Alene, located at 560 W. Kathleen Ave, is currently carrying our 2016 Blossom ~ Rose’ of Sangiovese, 2014 Windmill Red, 2013 Harvest Moon Red, 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon and the 2013 Reserve Petite Sirah. We hope to have our delicious Nectar in the store this fall!

We had such a great time participating in the Sunnyslope Wine Trail Festival this year. It was held in the new Indian Creek Plaza in Caldwell. We really enjoyed the extra space and thought it was a fun event. The Idaho Press was there and posted a great article about the Festival and the growing (pun intended) Idaho wine industry. Our very own Beverly Williamson was quoted several times in the article! Click here for the full article.

For the month of July, we are  offering our guests a way to contribute to Alzheimer’s Association to help them further their hard work in research, prevention and care in the struggle against this horrible disease.

Like so many today the Williamson family has experienced the difficulty of caring for a loved one diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Our family feels strongly about helping those with this horrendous disease and their families. Help us help Alzheimer’s Association in their mission to eliminate Alzheimer’s disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health. Receive an additional wine sample with a donation of $1 or more. 100% of your donation goes to Alzheimer’s Association.

2014 Cabernet Sauvignon!

This Cabernet has a deep burgundy color and complex flavors of ripe fruit and oak that should age very well. Flavors of ripe cherries and amaretto are held together with a thread of creamy vanilla. Intoxicating aromas of baked cherries and toasted oak make this wine entirely too easy to enjoy.

We recommend serving this with pepper-grilled steak, garlic & rosemary roasted potatoes, braised pork shank, or wild game. For dessert, dark chocolate or bleu cheese complement this wine.

These vintages are quickly coming to an end. Be sure to come out to the tasting room and grab a bottle of your favorite wine before they are all gone.

Savor Idaho was a great success, it seems to sell out earlier every year. We always have fun and enjoyed our experience this year too. We were pouring our Harvest Moon Red, Dry Riesling and Dry Rosé. The Boise Weekly was there and they loved our Harvest Moon Red! Click the link for their full article.

The Pollinators Thank You!

We started out the month of March by asking our guests if they would help us help the pollinators. Our family farm has been working in the Sunnyslope area for four generations. We know how important pollinators of every kind are, not just for our crops, but for all plant life. We are happy and proud to announce that with your help, we have raised $106.00 dollars to donate to Pollinator Partnership. In addition to scientific research, the Pollinator Partnership also educates people in how to conserve and support pollinators. These donations came mostly in the form of $1.00 increments, so that tells us that many of our guests care for the pollinators and the ecosystems that they require to flourish.

If you would like further information about this important cause, we’ve added links for National Pollinator Week, Ecoregional Planting Guides, and NAPPC (North American Pollinator Protection Campaign), as well as to Pollinator Partnership themselves.
